MEET KELLY KOSTELNIK
My name is Kelly Kostelnik and I began my journey to be a photographer starting in high school. I took my first photography class while attending Bishop McNamara High School and started to fall in love with the craft. I didn't know at the time this would become my career but it certainly peeked my interest.
I later attended the Pennsylvania State University where I received a BA in Integrative Arts, combining Music and Photography. After graduation I returned home to Maryland and became a Photography teacher BMHS. At the same time, I also joined TSS Photography as a youth sport photographer. After a few years of teaching and youth sports photography I decided it was time for a change.
In 2020, thanks in part, to the Covid pandemic, I quit my other jobs and became a full time photographer. It was then I decided to focus my time and education on weddings. Since then, I have photographed nearly 100+ weddings all over the Tri-State area and beyond.
I am especially thankful that at times I can even combine two of my passions in capturing animals and weddings together. Weddings truly allow the creative juices to flow and open up the world to different possibilities from locations, to people I would have never met otherwise.

KMK Visuals
Summer 2022, my wedding photography has grown to the point that is was time to separate it into its own entity. Hence, KMK Visuals was born. A branch of KMK Photos LLC but focused solely on weddings and engagements. While KMK Photos is now specifically focusing on equestrian events, portraits, and family portraits.
Creating KMK Visuals allows me to now include videography as well as photography options for all of my couples.

At this point, a lot of couples wanted to work with me. The (good) problem with this though was that I began double and even triple booking some weekends! I wanted to shoot everything, but I just physically couldn’t. That’s when I decided to scale my business and started sending out teams of talented photographers and editors to satisfy my clients. Couples all around the world loved our work so much, they were willing to fly us 100s of miles away from Maryland to capture their wedding. Now that I have a big and trusted enough team, KMK Visuals sometimes shoots 3 to 4 weddings in one day.
